If you have been to the Library’s Garden Party before you will remember how delightful these afternoons have been.
The whole family can enjoy the lovely garden of Keats House while the children are entertained with rhyme-time, storytelling, art activities, a magician, Mystical Fairies, face-painting, a giant chess set.
We have an added attraction of a display of birds of prey, a chance for everyone to get up close to these remarkable birds. And finally, a ballet performance from Rona Hart School of Dance.
For the adult we have a wine bar, and - for everyone- ice creams, tea and delicious cakes.
Free admission.

Hampstead has a long association with chess and The Hampstead Summer Festival has included chess in the fun every year since it’s inception.
Professional chess coach, Bryan Ellis, will be on hand at the Family Garden Party in the Garden of Keats House on 30th June from 2-5pm. Bryan holds regular classes in Keats Library on Saturdays and is brilliant with beginners as well as the more experienced kids. There will also be a giant chess set on the lawn as a fun introduction to the pieces.
