This summer there are fantastic opportunities for artists to exhibit and sell your work in Hampstead, plus free to enter open competitions.
We welcome entries from artists of any age and discipline, whether you are an established artist or at the early stage of your career.
HSF Art Fair Open Exhibition – 21 June
Display your work for sale or exhibition in the Art Fair's main marquee at Whitestone Pond on 21 June, with the opportunity to win the Principal Sponsor's Prize and Catto Gallery Prize for Best in Show.
Picture the Heath – 13 & 20 June
Picture the Heath is a fantastic two day open art event and competition for developing and established artists of all ages and abilities. On day one (13 or 20 June) you work on Hampstead Heath alongside artist tutors from Hampstead School of Art and your work is exhibited at the Hampstead Summer Festival Art Fair on 21 June.
As the artist you are free to capture the spirit of Hampstead Heath and the surrounding area in any medium or size.
It is a wonderful environment in which to paint;- the historic Kenwood House, the Ponds, Heath Street and fabulous views of the city, an exhilarating juxtaposition of landscape and cityscape.
Over 60's Magic on the Heath Comp
The theme is ‘Magic on the Heath’ – and can include any ‘magical ‘ aspect of Hampstead Heath, its landscape, people, its spirit and atmosphere or simply the ideas and feelings it sparks in us.
ENTRY IS FREE and style, material and medium is up to you.
All shortlisted entries will be exhibited in one of the marquees at the Festival's Art Fair by Whitestone Pond on Sunday June 21

School's Magic on the Heath Competition
Hampstead Summer Festival’s Annual Young People's Art Competition (for 12-16 year olds) is a great way to inspire and nurture the younger artists of Hampstead. There's the Cass Art first prize of Winsor & Newton Professional Watercolour set worth £75, the Hampstead School of Art prize and runners up prizes up for grabs, plus the winners and runners up are exhibited the Art Fair on 21 June.
Heath Street Open Air Fine Art Exhibition
First established in 1948, the fabulous Heath Street Open Air Fine Art Exhibition returns to Hampstead this summer on Sundays 28 June, 12 July & 19 July.
Managed by Hampstead School of Art, the exhibitions give artists a wonderful opportunity to exhibit and sell work in the Hampstead's winding Heath Street.
Work is subject to soft selection with an entry fee of £30 (for the three weeks) plus a £7 hanging fee.
