This summer there are fantastic opportunities for artists to exhibit and sell your work in Hampstead, plus free to enter open competitions.
We welcome entries from artists of any age and discipline, whether you are an established artist or at the early stage of your career.
HSF Art Fair Open Exhibition – Sun 26 June
Display your work for sale or exhibition in the Art Fair's main marquee at Whitestone Pond on 21 June, with the opportunity to win the Principal Sponsor's Prize, London Art Prize, Hampstead School of Art Painting and Drawing Prizes, and the Catto Gallery Prize for Best in Show.
Picture the Heath – 18 & 25 June
Picture the Heath is a fantastic two day open art event and competition for developing and established artists of all ages and abilities. On day one (18 or 25 June) you work on Hampstead Heath alongside artists, and tutors from Hampstead School of Art, to capture the magical spirit of Hampstead Heath and your work is exhibited at the Hampstead Summer Festival Art Fair on 26 June.
As the artist you are free to capture the spirit of Hampstead Heath and the surrounding area in any medium or size.
It is a wonderful environment in which to paint;- the historic Kenwood House, the Ponds, Heath Street and fabulous views of the city, an exhilarating juxtaposition of landscape and cityscape.
Over 60's Competition
Fantastic opportunity to exhibit your work at the Hampstead Summer Festival Art Fair on Sunday 26 June and win the Pegasus Prize, Phil Ward Prize and Hampstead School of Art Prize, plus Frame Factory vouchers and runner up prizes.
ENTRY IS FREE. There is no theme and style, material and medium is up to you.
All shortlisted entries will be exhibited in one of the marquees at the Festival's Art Fair by Whitestone Pond on Sunday 26 June.
All shortlisted entries also eligible for the Catto Gallery Best of Show Prize

Junior Art Fair Competition
Hampstead Summer Festival’s Annual Junior Art Competition is a great way to inspire and nurture the younger artists of Hampstead, as well as an opportunity to exhibit their work at the Hampstead Summer Festival Art Fair and win prizes including Cass Art 1st Prizes and Ann Mir Prizes £25, art materials and taster sessions at Hampstead School of Art
Winners and runners up are exhibited the Art Fair on 26 June.
The theme - Bugs, Butterflies & Beasties - gives lots of scope for all ages. Hampstead and Camden are full of gardens which you might like to visit in person or via the Internet. But of course we want you to use your imaginations. Imagine and create your very own wild and wonderful creepy-crawlies which could live and thrive in the Hampstead area!
You can work in any medium or in a mix of media – collage, paint, pastels. Design, paint, draw, collage your ideas. Maximum size of artwork A3 (maximum 10 entries per school).
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
